Pete Davidson makes big decision on ex Kim Kardashian as he gets ready to host SNL

Pete Davidson has reportedly decided not to poke fun at his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian when he hosts Saturday Night Live for the first time next weekend.

The comedian, 29 - who was a cast member on SNL from 2014 until his departure last year - is set to host the NBC show on May 6.

Pete worked alongside a number of celebrity guests during his time on the show, including reality TV star Kim, 42 - who later became his girlfriend after she hosted and they met on set in 2021.

The former couple began their relationship towards the end of that year and split up in August last year after nine months of dating.

It's been suggested that Pete won't be making jokes about Kim when he hosts SNL next month, with a source having told Page Six that he's "being a gentleman".

The source said that although he is expected to be a "good sport" about his high-profile love life, he wants to avoid referencing Kim when he fronts the sketch show.

The outlet reports that they agreed to just "drop everything" and "move on" after their break-up, with the source saying that's why Kim isn't mentioned in his stand-up.

The source added about his plans for the upcoming show: "[He's respecting the fact] her team is so protective of her image and it was so volatile from Kanye [West]'s side."

Kanye - who was separated from Kim when she dated the comedian - previously made a series of apparent digs at Pete, who he's understood to refer to as 'Skete'.

They were around the time that Pete was dating Kim and following their break-up. It included posting a fake newspaper article seemingly announcing Pete's 'death'.

The rapper also mentioned the comedian in his track Eazy - which was released last year - and he seemingly depicted Pete in the music video that accompanied its release.

Discussing Pete's upcoming hosting of SNL, another source told PageSix recently that they wouldn't be surprised if a gag about the Kardashian-Jenner family did feature.

Teasing about the episode next weekend, a source told the outlet about the comedian: "Nothing has been written yet, but know with Pete nothing is off the table".
