Pep Guardiola said that there will be a discussion on Monday about Manchester City penalties after the confusion surrounding their most recent one.
Riyad Mahrez went straight to the spot when Jack Grealish was brought down in the box, only for Rodri to run and grab the ball. The midfielder then had an animated discussion with club captain Ilkay Gundogan, with City No.9 Erling Haaland also in attendance, before handing the ball for Mahrez to smash in City's third.
Rodri had confirmed after the game that he wanted to take the penalty, but relented when told to do so by Gundogan. However, Guardiola indicated after the game that he had wanted Haaland to take it.

"Normally Erling is the first taker," said the manager. "I wanted that but Riyad always tries to do it, Rodri was involved. I don't know what happened.
"Tomorrow we will speak with them. I like when people want to take penalties but always there is one that is the main one and that is Erling."
Mahrez coolly dispatched the penalty, but later ballooned an effort over the bar from a matter of yards. The flag went up for offside, but the Algerian still took to social media to joke about it, tweeting to ask if the ball had "landed yet."
