A man has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in Oldham.
Emergency services were called to the collision between a car and a pedestrian in Duke Street, Shaw, at about 9pm today (Saturday).
A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained at the scene, said police.

Duke Street has been taped off by police following the incident. Nearby Beal Lane is also closed in both directions between Britannia Avenue and Park Street.
Eyewitnesses have reported seeing a large police presence and a number of ambulances at the scene, which is near to Shaw and Crompton Metrolink stop.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “At around 9pm this evening (Saturday 14 January 2023), officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian on Duke Street in Shaw, Oldham.
"Officers attended the scene and a man in his 50s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The driver remains at the scene to assist with further enquiries. A scene will remain in place.”
