Paul Mescal and Jodie Comer’s fans are calling for the pair to start dating, claiming they would make the “perfect couple".
The actors looked in their element as they posed with each other at the Olivier Awards on Sunday night after both winning two of the ceremony’s major awards.
After their wins, the pair posed together and looked giddy in each other’s arms as they appeared in Royal Albert Hall’s winners’ room.
Once snaps of their backstage encounter were published online, fans were quick to play matchmaker.
“They NEED to get together!” one tweeted.
“I’m sorry but are Paul Mescal and Jodie Comer not the most PERFECT COUPLE!... Someone set this up,” wrote another.
A third said: “I know nobody is sure if Paul is actually single but if he is he NEEDS to ask Ms Comer out on a date. They are couple goals without even knowing it.”
While a fourth commented: “These two are salt of the earth!!!! They need to get together!!! Imagine that power couple.”
Apart from Comer, another woman took centre stage for Mescal on the night.
The Irish actor dedicated his first Olivier to his mother Dearbhla, who is undergoing treatment for bone marrow cancer, concluding his acceptance speech with: “I hope you get better.”
Meanwhile, Killing Eve star Comer dedicated her first gong to her mother, father and 82-year-old grandmother, adding: “I’m so overwhelmed. This play has changed my life. I am so grateful.”
