Paul Giamatti was moved to tears during his Holdovers co-star Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s Oscar speech

During Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s heartwarming speech for winning the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in The Holdovers, her co-star Paul Giamatti was moved to tears by the moment.

Giamatti escorted Randolph to the stage to accept her very first Oscar win and watched with everyone in the crowd as Randolph deliver a powerful speech that had Giamatti getting misty.

It’s so wonderful to see actors supporting each other like this, and Giamatti’s sincere reaction to Randolph’s win is one of the best parts about the Oscars. You just can’t script something this; it comes straight from the heart.
