When all is said and done, Caitlin Clark might be recognized as the greatest college basketball player in history.
Fresh off a season where she won National Player of the Year, the Iowa superstar has gone supernova this year, averaging over 32 points a game with an absurd 48-40-85 shooting split. As long as Clark maintains her current pace, she will likely break Kelsey Plum’s all-time women’s college basketball scoring record later this month.
As Clark continues to set courts on fire, her greatness has caught the attention of Patrick Mahomes. Clark is, of course, a noted huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, who are playing in Super Bowl 58 this Sunday. During Super Bowl Opening Night, Mahomes couldn’t help but effusively praise how special Clark is:
"She's one of the best college basketball players to ever play. [She'll] go to the WNBA and dominate there as well. Hopefully I never have to play her one-on-one because she'll for sure be getting buckets on me."
