A family have released a heartbreaking appeal to help find their missing son a year after he suddenly vanished.
Reedam Pokharel, a graduate from the University of Nottingham, was 24 when he was last seen by his family in Hayes on Sunday May 29, 2022.
Before his disappearance, Reedam’s family say that he seemed "a bit stressed and pre-occupied".
Reedam left his family home carrying a small rucksack, telling his family that he was going to Nottingham for “work-related things”.
He kept in touch with his family by text until June 15, 2022, repeatedly saying over this period that he would come home in one to two-days’ time.
The family lost contact with Reedam on June 16 when his mobile phone was turned off. Attempts to reach him via social media and email also failed.
Reedam’s family reported him missing to police on June 21, 2022.
In an appeal to Reedam, father, Keshav Pokharel said: "Reedam, you suddenly disappeared. We don't even know that you are alive or not. Please let us know your status if you are receiving this message.
"We are your parents, we always support you and understand any situation you are in."
Following police investigations, Reedam’s card activity led police to believe that had in fact travelled to Dover on June 1, 2022.
He seemed to have ordered food by paying cash from Hastings on 9 June, from Dover on 12 June, and again from Hastings on 16 June. As of the 16 th , all card activity has stopped.
Reedam is described as Asian, with an olive complexion, about 5’ 10”, 70kg, with an average slim build.
He also had a moustache and beard at the time of his disappearance.
He wears a gold chain on his neck and a gold bracelet on his right hand. Reedam has a tattoo on his right hand just above his wrist – a name in ‘foreign’ script.
As a year approaches with no major developments on Reedam’s search, his family remains heartbroken yet determined as ever to reunite with their beloved son.
To help the search, the public can visit Reedam’s appeal on the Missing People website here, from where they can report a sighting, download his Missing appeal as a poster, and share it as widely as possible via Facebook and Twitter.
