Paisley man's 'out of character' disappearance sparks police appeal to help trace him

Police Scotland are asking for the assistance of the public in tracing a missing Paisley man.

Stephen Rankin was last seen on Friday (March 4) around 3pm at Locksley Road, Paisley. He was last spoken to on Sunday about 11am.

The 51-year-old was last seen wearing black trousers and a black polo shirt.

Police describe him as bald, with blue eyes and a slim build.

His vehicle was found in Spey Ave, Paisley about 3:30pm on Sunday.

Family and friends are increasingly worried about Stephen as they have not heard from him which is out of character.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland quoting incident number 2426 of 07/03/2022.

UPDATE: Stephen Rankin has been traced safe and well.
