Paedophile Christian Brueckner made official suspect in Madeleine McCann case

German paedophile Christian Brueckner has been officially made a suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Portuguese police named the 43-year-old convicted rapist as an "arguido" (defendant) yesterday, his lawyers confirmed.

The missing girl's parents, Kate and Gerry, both 48, were made arguidos in September 2007.
