Packers LB Quay Walker enjoys most disruptive performance of young career

Green Bay Packers rookie linebacker Quay Walker enjoyed the most disruptive performance of his young NFL career on Sunday in Washington.

Walker, the 22nd overall pick, played 54 snaps in the 23-21 defeat. According to Pro Football Focus, the rookie produced a team-high seven stops, including six against the run, and he created three pressures (including two quarterback hits) on five blitzes. He also broke up a pass over 23 snaps in coverage.

While Walker did miss a tackle in the open field, he also finished off several impressive one-on-one tackle attempts against the run.

His six stops against the run led all NFL linebackers in Week 7, and his seven total stops led all NFL players in Week 7.

Among linebackers, only Walker, Patrick Queen and De’Vondre Campbell created at least five stops and three pressures this week.
