Veterans for the Green Bay Packers reported to training camp on Sunday. On reporting day, the Packers placed three players on the non-injury football list: receiver Jayden Reed, cornerback Corey Ballentine and offensive tackle Caleb Jones.
Reed led the team in receptions last year. Ballentine started games at cornerback and Jones spent time on the 53-man roster.
The most important player on the list is clearly Reed, one of the offense’s most dynamic playmakers. A source told Bill Huber of SI that Reed is “totally fine” and will likely return to practice this week.
The non-football injury list is for players injured away from a practice or team facility, suggesting Reed, Ballentine and Jones all suffered injuries between the end of the offseason workout program in June and reporting day on Sunday.
The Packers begin training camp practices on Monday at 10:30 a.m.
A player can removed from the non-football injury list at any time.
Rookie safety Kitan Oladapo was placed on the non-football injury list after reporting to camp last week. He’s recovering from a toe injury that required surgery during the pre-draft process.
