Over 200,000 Volkswagen And Audi SUVs Recalled, Bolt Could Break

  • Volkswagen is recalling 208,724 SUVs in the US for a corroding steering-rack mounting bolt.
  • Affected models are the Volkswagen Atlas (2018–2019), Volkswagen Tiguan (2018), and Audi Q3 (2019–2021).
  • Dealers will replace the bolt free of charge with a corrosion-resistant, polymer-coated component.

Volkswagen is recalling 208,724 SUVs in the US after finding that moisture can eat through a steering-rack mounting bolt shared across three separate model lines, including the Volkswagen Tiguan.
