Ousmane Dieng out at least six weeks with fractured wrist

The injury bug continues to hit the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Thunder announced on Thursday that rookie forward Ousmane Dieng suffered a small, non-displaced fracture in his right wrist during Wednesday’s OKC Blue game. Dieng will be reevaluated in six weeks.

The injury announcement comes hours after the Thunder recalled Dieng from the Blue. Dieng also suffered a fractured wrist in July during the summer league.

The Thunder’s wing depth continues to thin. This news comes a day after Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will be on a week-to-week basis with an ankle sprain. Kenrich Williams is also out as he deals with a knee sprain.

Dieng was drafted 11th in the first round of the 2022 NBA draft. In 14 games with the Thunder, Dieng is averaging 4.4 points and 2.9 rebounds.
