The pub group from Oxford taking over the former Cross Hands has announced its reopening date after a full refurbishment. The Staple Hill Road pub closed on February 26 due to rising costs and was subsequently bought by Dodo Pub Co, which has renamed it The All Inn.
On its website, Dodo Pub Co - which has six other pubs in its growing portfolio - confirmed its first Bristol venue in Fishponds would be opening on Friday, May 19.
Dodo Pub Co opened their first pub in East Oxford back in 2009 called The Rusty Bicycle and have developed a small empire of neighbourhood venues in the city as well as Cheltenham, Caversham and Witney.

The group focuses on creating neighbourhood pubs offering high quality, locally sourced food and drink in a welcoming space. It says its 'traditional, yet quirky, welcoming style' will run throughout the new pub, alongside a menu offering dirty burgers, Neapolitan pizzas and a variety of sides - with kitchen times to be confirmed at a later date.
It promises to have plenty of craft beer as well as being wheelchair accessible, family-friendly and will allow dogs on the premises.
A petition to keep the original name of the Fishponds pub that launched in March gathered more than 800 signatures. Paddy Clar, who launched the petition, accused the pub's new owners of "erasing history" after announcing the rebrand.
