Objects in the male urethra are not rare. Roughly 1,350 cases a year are reported in the United States, and the catalogue in the literature runs from fishhooks and screws to light bulbs. Superglue is different. Until recently there were five documented cases worldwide, which meant nobody had much basis for deciding how to get it out. German urologists have now added a sixth and used the occasion to write the first structured approach to a problem almost no clinician sees twice.
