Niall Horan has revealed he became "extremely ill" during a flight ahead of his upcoming appearance on RTE's Late Late Show on Friday.
The former One Direction man, 28, took to social media to thanks staff on board a British Airways flight for coming to his aid after he took a bad turn on the flight.
Writing on Twitter, the singer said: "Thank you to the staff on that @British_Airways flight. I was extremely ill and they took such good care of me."
And the star received a response back from the company's official Twitter page who replied: "Thanks for your lovely comments about the care you received from our crew on your flight, Niall. We'll be sure to pass on your thanks to them."
Fans also took to the post to send their well wishes to the star and gratitude to the company.
One user commented: "Hopefully you're okay now!! Thank you to the staff for taking care of you!!"
Another penned: "So sorry to hear you were not well! And when you're stuck on a flight, too? Ugh, that just makes it worse.
"Glad they did what they could for you. I hope you're feeling better now!"
Niall didn't go on to reveal what illness he suffered on the flight and comes just days after he was spotted enjoying the action at the weekend's Super Bowl between Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals at the SoFi Stadium in California.
The former X Factor contestant is still set to appear on Ireland's popular chat show The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy on Friday night with no comment explaining otherwise.
He will speak to the host virtually from his LA base and is set to pay tribute to Irish golfer Leona Maguire who is celebrating a record-breaking win at the LGPA in Florida.
Last year there were rumours One Direction were set to reunite, with Liam Payne hinting the boyband would get back together "sooner rather than later".
The group went on hiatus seven years ago and fans were disappointed they did not reunite for their 10th anniversary in 2020.
After Zayn Malik quit the group in March 2015, the remaining four members gave their last performance that December.
And while fans still eagerly anticipate them reforming, Niall continues to tease fans that he has new solo music set to drop in the near future.
Fans also took to his latest post to question when this may be with several fans asking the star directly.
