Olivia Rodrigo has shared a David Byrne cover of Drivers License to mark its fifth anniversary.

The Good 4 U hitmaker's debut studio album, SOUR, is reaching the milestone this May, and to celebrate, Olivia has recruited her "favourite artists ever" to reimagine some of the tracks from the LP, including the Talking Heads frontman, who has put his spin on the hit lead single.

Olivia, 22, previously teamed up with David, 73, to perform the rock group's 1983 classic Burning Down the House at the 2025 Governors Ball, and the duet is the B-side to David's cover on a special edition 7' vinyl, which is available to pre-order now from Olivia's official store.

She shared on Instagram: "SOUR is turning 5 years old this year! and to celebrate, i’m so excited to announce an upcoming series of reimagined SOUR covers from some of my favorite artists ever. we’re starting off insanely strong with an incredible reworking of ‘drivers license’ from one of my all-time heroes, David Byrne. David is nothing short of a legend and I actually cried when I heard his version of this song. You can stream it now or pre order a 7 inch vinyl with his cover and our version of “Burning Down The House” from gov ball. I’m stoked!! Go give it a listen. (sic)"

Marking the milestone, Olivia reflected: "happy 5 years of drivers license!!! looking back at these pics I feel like I look like a baby but it also feels like just yesterday lol. this song has totally changed my life in ways I still can’t totally wrap my head around. I’m forever grateful for this magical chapter and I can’t wait to scream red lights stop signs with u guys at every concert I play for the rest of my life! happy birthday DL (sic)"

Sharing how his special bond with the Grammy-winning pop star came to be, David told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: “I saw her show here at Madison Square Garden and met her. I’m a fan.

“And she stayed in touch.”

He continued: “She said, ‘Hey, wanna join me?’

“I did say, ‘Hey, if you’re in town for a couple days, maybe we can work out a little choreo.’ I had to pinch myself and go, ‘Yeah, I’m really doing this.’”

The musician went on to praise Olivia's "great relationship" with her audience.
