Olivia Attwood has revealed that contestants on Love Island are not bothered about the £50,000 prize money for winning the dating show.
The blonde bombshell, who finished third on the 2017 series of the popular ITV2 programme with Chris Hughes, has enjoyed the current crop of islanders as they search for love in the Majorca villa.
Although an official date for season eight's finale has not been announced, ITV did reveal that this year's show will run for a total of eight weeks.
The first episode was on Monday June 6 which means Love Island 2022 is likely to end on August 1.
Last year's series also ran for eight weeks and saw Liam Reardon and Millie Court, who split up earlier this week, crowned winners.
As the reality dating show edges closer towards its climax, couples are starting to take shape as they eye the finale.
One lucky couple could bag £50,000 if they are named as the winners and choose to share the prize money - after the winning couple is announced they choose an envelope each with one saying £0 and the other with £50,000.
The person with the cash prize will then decide whether to keep or split with their partner. No one had opted to keep the money for themselves in the seven previous seasons of the show.
Olivia spoke candidly about her experience on the Spanish island when talking to Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy podcast, revealing that the money is not a factor for the contestants.
She said: "There are good looking girls and guys on an island dating, it's a game show, there's money at the end.
"It's a test, it's all about who can find a connection and a connection real enough to take you to the final and win that money.
"Although it's weird with Love Island, like, when you're in there, nobody really gives a s**t about the money.
"You don't even need the money at the end, it's just like a thing and nobody focuses on that."
Olivia hit out at ITV producers earlier this week for her "drama" reputation when she was on Love Island.
The reality TV star, 31, rose to prominence on the third series of the ITV2 dating series five years ago and had her fair share of drama.
She has however recalled that despite it looking like all she did was "scream and shout" whilst on the show, that wasn't the case - with her blaming producers for that perception.
Olivia said: "Someone said to me recently, 'Oh I bet you had a horrible time on the show because all you did was scream and shout'. And I know it may have looked that way."
She added in an interview with OK! : "But that really wasn't the case. Producers only ever showed my interesting bits and my arguments [...] when in reality, I had a great time."
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
