The killing of a 21-year-old man in Old Trafford is believed to have been 'targeted', the M.E.N understands.
The man was killed following a 'disturbance' at a home on Kings Road at around 7.45pm last night (Wednesday). Emergency services responded but he suffered serious injuries and was sadly pronounced dead on the scene.
The killing is believed to have been isolated and targeted. A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in the nearby area. The M.E.N also understands that this incident was not linked to 'multiple incidents of violent disorder' in Old Trafford and south Manchester on Tuesday evening.
Stop-and-search powers were stepped up following reports of serious incidents in the St George's area of Manchester. Officers were called at around 10pm on Tuesday and found a 'large number of youths with weapons', making 15 arrests. Alongside the arrests, police officers seized seven knives and drugs and a section 60 order is in force until 8.31pm on Thursday.
After the murder investigation was launched on Kings Road last night, Detective Superintendent Jane Higham said: "Firstly, my thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this time. Officers have been deployed to support them.
"We are in the very early stages of a murder investigation, and a team of experienced officers will be working throughout the night and over the coming days to understand a timeline of events that will help us piece together what has happened this evening.
"We recognise that incidents of this nature will cause concern in our communities, not just in Old Trafford, but across Greater Manchester and as a result there will be a visible increase of police officers in the area over the coming days whilst detectives investigate. Anyone with any concerns is encouraged to come and speak to us.
"I would urge people who were in the area at the time of the incident, or anyone who has mobile or CCTV footage that may be of interest to police to contact us, even the smallest piece of evidence may help with our investigation and provide answers for the young man’s family.
"We are also appealing to motorists and local residents in the area, who may have captured anything on Dashcam, CCTV or doorbell cameras to contact us. Anyone with information is asked to contact Greater Manchester Police on 101 quoting log number 3367 31/5/2023.
"Alternatively, details can be passed on anonymously to the independent charity - Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
