OK Ramdas, Kerala’s prolific opener of the 70s, dies

KOCHI: Former captain and one of the mainstays of Kerala’s batting unit in the late 1960s and 70s Odayammath Koroth Ramdas, popularly known as OK Ramdas, passed away in Thiruvananthapuram.

Ramdas was undergoing treatment for heart-related ailments at a hospital for the last few weeks and had also suffered a stroke. On Wednesday morning, he died after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 74.
