An advertisement for Octopus Energy has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for misleading consumers regarding the true cost of heat pump installations.
The Facebook ad, seen in September, stated "Installs from £500", adding: "The government grant covers up to 90 per cent of the costs of a new heat pump. Replace your old broken boiler with an award-winning energy supplier and help stop our reliance on gas."
