With the January transfer window slamming shut for EFL clubs on Tuesday evening, Notts County fans breathed a huge sigh of relief that none of their key players left Meadow Lane ahead of a huge second half of the National League season.
A number of Luke Williams' squad were subject to interest from the Football League, with two of the Magpies' top performers earning a few admirers following their excellent start to the National League campaign.
Both Macaulay Langstaff and Ruben Rodrigues started in their record-breaking 2-1 win over Solihull Moors on Tuesday evening, with the Portuguese midfielder scoring twice to extend Notts' unbeaten run to 20 games at the ARMCO Arena.

Last month saw three players depart Meadow Lane, with Brad Young returning to Leicester City while Joel Taylor and Tiernan Brooks went out on loan, with the club also confirming yesterday that striker Kairo Mitchell had joined fellow National League side Eastleigh for the remainder of the season.
The Magpies boss did strengthen his squad with the loan signings of Archie Mair and Jodi Jones, but speaking ahead of the Magpies' trip to Torquay this weekend, the Notts boss explained that keeping the core of the squad he assembled since taking over in the summer was a good way to view his business during January despite concern on the final day of the window.
"I think that is a good way to look at it, with so many players performing at such a high level, it was a huge concern to us that we would have to fend off some offers," he said.
"We were particularly concerned with offers that were not serious and giving the player false hope of believing something that isn't really there.
"Fortunately that didn't happen, and we maybe had one near miss on deadline day but I think that could be the best bit of business for us to not have lost any of our key players."
With the Magpies not affected by the closure of the window Williams hinted that new arrivals could be on the horizon further fuelled by Mitchell's departure, with the emphasis now on bolstering their striking options ahead of a tough run of fixtures during February.
