Nottingham trams delayed due to abusive passenger at hospital stop

Passengers across Nottingham are facing delays on trams due to an abusive passenger at the Queen's Medical Centre stop. People wanting to ride the Hucknall - Toton Lane route are experiencing extended waiting times on Sunday afternoon (April 24).

Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said the delays were due to an 'abusive passenger' near the stop in South Road, Nottingham that 'required police attendance'. It assured that it was still running to all its destinations.

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed they had received reports of an abusive passenger refusing to leave the tram at 12.20pm. They added it was an ongoing incident.

In a tweet at 12.50pm, NET said: "Service Update 12:45 - we currently have extended wait times on the Hucknall - Toton Lane line. This was been caused by an abusive passenger which required police attendance. We are running through to all of our destinations."
