Nottingham Primark shoppers' verdicts on new Greggs range

Primark’s new Gregg range went on sale at the Nottingham store on Saturday, February 19 - and shoppers weren't exactly sure what to think.

Some customers said they weren’t sure what to expect from the retail giant, with the new range including items such as bucket hats, T-shirts and hoodies.

The bakery inspired items can be found on the upper floor of Nottingham’s Primark, towards the tills.

Aside from the signs on the display tables, there was not a lot of signage to highlight the new products to shoppers.

A range of Greggs branded hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers and even socks are available.

This exclusive range is the first time that Greggs has officially put its name on clothing and accessories, and some shoppers didn’t know what to think.

Most people seemed simply surprised by the range, rather than keen to put items it in their basket.

When asked her thoughts on the range, student, Jools Doran, 19, of Nottingham, said: “It’s quite funny.”

Her friend and fellow student, Charlotte Course, 18, of Nottingham, said: “I would buy the bucket hat for a festival.”

Chloe Tongue, 25, of Nottingham, described the Greggs range as “quite quirky.”

She added: “But the socks are cool.”

Whilst there were no bucket hats on the Greggs shelves, there was an abundance of brightly coloured socks, where customers can get five pairs of bakery-inspired socks for £5.

A lot of Primark customers seemed disappointed in the lack of range available, with a lot of people asking about the bucket hat and trainers.

When asked her thoughts on the range, another customer said: “I didn’t know there was one.

“Is it just clothes with sausage rolls on?”

A restock of certain items in the range is expected early next week.
