Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing free agent and right-back Serge Aurier.
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender spent years in north London between 2017 and 2021, racking up 110 appearances, but in the end, failed to cement a permanent spot in the first-team, losing his position to Kieran Trippier at the time. He joined La Liga side Villarreal for the duration of last season before being released this summer.
According to FootMercato, the Reds are keen to strike a deal and a free transfer would also be a bonus, having already spent £143.5million on 16 new additions. Other clubs including Fulham, Atletico Madrid and Galatasaray are also said to be in the race for a swoop.

Ligue 1 side Nantes also made an enquiry but a potential move was turned down by the player as he reportedly favours a move to Spain, England or Italy. If Forest are able to secure his services, he will be keen to make a fresh start in the Premier League following a disappointing spell in North London.
