Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper names team to face Tottenham Hotspur

Head coach Steve Cooper has named his Nottingham Forest team to face Tottenham Hotspur in today’s Premier League clash.

The Reds make the trip to the capital looking to improve their miserable away form as their fight for survival intensifies. So far this season they have picked up just six points on the road and scored three goals.

Brennan Johnson’s brace saw them twice come from behind to claim a point at home to Everton last time out. But with the table incredibly tight at the bottom end, Forest know they need to start picking up results on the road.

Ryan Yates made his comeback against the Toffees, and made an immediate impact by setting up Johnson’s second goal. He is on the bench again this afternoon, as is defender Moussa Niakhate, who has been sidelined since August with a hamstring problem.

Cooper makes two changes to the side which started at the City Ground. Orel Mangala and Jesse Lingard come in for Jack Colback and Chris Wood.

Serge Aurier takes his place in the back line against his former club, with Joe Worrall, Felipe and Renan Lodi making up the defence ahead of goalkeeper Keylor Navas. Mangala comes into the midfield, alongside Jonjo Shelvey and Remo Freuler.

Lingard will join Morgan Gibbs-White and Johnson in attack. Wayne Hennessey, Neco Williams, Colback, Emmanuel Dennis, Danilo, Andre Ayew and Wood join Yates and Niakhate on the substitutes’ bench.

Forest: Navas; Aurier, Worrall, Felipe, Lodi; Shelvey, Freuler, Mangala; Lingard, Gibbs-White, Johnson. Subs: Hennessey, Williams, Colback, Niakhate, Yates, Dennis, Danilo, Ayew, Wood.
