Notorious dance group from Port Talbot to appear in Britain's Got Talent

A group of talented youngsters from Port Talbot are set to take the Britain's Got Talent stage by storm in Saturday's episode of the hit ITV show. Notorious dance group, which consists of 25 brilliant dancers aged seven to 17, attended auditions for the programme in Manchester back in January - and their fantastic first performance will finally be on screens on May 27.

All the dancers in the group are members of TDM Stage School, a popular dance and performing arts academy based in Sandfields in Port Talbot. The dance school has had much success on Britain's Got Talent and other TV competition shows over the last decade, with several dance groups from the school getting as far as the semi-finals and finals of Britain's Got Talent in previous series.

Speaking to WalesOnline ahead of the group's performance airing on May 27, principal and founder of TDM Stage School, Terry Michael explained: "Notorious are a high energy, up-tempo dance act with a fantastic routine accompanied by a great soundtrack - guaranteed to get your toes tapping! They performed a school-themed dance act to the Britain's Got Talent judges at the auditions in Manchester in January, and their performance will be in this Saturday's episode.

"There's 25 of them, aged seven to 17, and they're all members of our stage school, TDM, which meets and trains in Sandfields. We put the group together in January for performances but they've all been members for a long time."

Discussing earlier members' success on the show, Terry added: "TDM Stage School are no strangers to television, past and present pupils have been finalists on BGT, BBC Street Dance Stars, SKY1 Got to Dance and many more, as well as winning SuperKids (a German TV show).

"They were recently crowned winners of the Battle of Britain Championships in a Blackpool Street Dance competition and are optimistic that they can continue their winning streak by taking part in BGT this year and hopefully progressing to the live shows!

"The current group of talented youngsters in Notorious were lucky enough to be invited to Manchester to audition in front of celebrity judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and new judge Bruno Tonioli. They are so excited to be a part of this iconic show and would love for the public to support them by following their journey by tuning in to Britain’s Got Talent this Saturday, May 27 at 8pm!"

You can watch Notorious on Britain's Got Talent on ITV at 8pm, Saturday, May 27, and you can find them on Facebook here.
