The under-arrest captain of a cargo vessel that crashed into a US oil tanker off the East Yorkshire coast is a Russian national.

The explosive collision left a sailor presumed dead in the North Sea, with the alarm first raised on the Humber Estuary in East Yorkshire at 9.48am on Monday.
