Despite the UK seeing its hottest day of the year so far on Tuesday, the weather isn't looking quite as summery in North East over the next couple of days.
According to the latest forecast from the Met Office, low cloud is set to spread across the region on Tuesday evening with light drizzle possible along the hills and coasts. Wednesday will get off to an overcast start for many, but cloud will retreat eastwards through the morning to give way to "dry and largely sunny" weather, though conditions along the coast are likely to be cooler and cloudier.
The outlook for Thursday to Saturday indicates that the first days of June will be largely settled in the North East, with cloudy evenings burning back to give warm sunshine by day - although the Newcastle hour-by-hour forecast suggests that the city may not be so lucky.
