Overnight wind and rain will carry on into Thursday with the North East seeing heavy rain for most of the day.
Coastal and hilly areas will see the worst gusts of wind, but it will be breezy for most of the day. Temperatures continue to stay low, with a maximum temperature of 10°C.
Friday will see showers continuing throughout the day before they start to clear early evening and Saturday will be a better day with dry and sunny spells after a chilly start.
