Noel Gallagher mortified as Wonderwall plays at family meal with fans chanting hit

This is the moment Noel Gallagher held his head in his hands after Oasis' hit Wonderwall played during a meal with his family.

Sharing a video of the singer, the fan wrote: "I love how much he hates this. Like seeing Peter Kay on holiday and shouting GARLIC BREAD repeatedly an inch away from his face".

The 55-year-old was enjoying a meal with his family when the song started playing.

Fellow patrons started singing along to the lyrics while Noel sat at his table looking uncomfortable.

At one point, some people even stood up to clap along while looking at the table the star sat at.

His wife Sara MacDonald seemed to be having a blast as she captured the hilarious moment by filming the scenes in front of them.

When the song came to an end, Noel clapped for the patrons before continuing the conversation he was having.

Fans took to the comment section of the tweet to share their thoughts on the impromptu singing session.

One user said: "He looks fairly good-humoured about it actually, all things considered," while another added: "He just went on to grab his beer quick."

Some thought it was 'cringey' to serenade the singer while he was trying to enjoy a family meal.

"So cringey," a Twitter user said along with a laughing emoji. One added: "Christ almighty let the man have a holiday."

"Why does everyone there seem to think it’s a beautiful tribute to him that he’ll 100% love? Talk about self-unaware," another posted.

It wasn't long ago that Noel sang Wonderwall, which was released in 1995, to a giant crowd of people.

Noel took to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in June and treated the festival-goers with a few Oasis songs.

He put on an epic show with his High Flying Birds and performed some new tracks, as well as some very familiar ones.

Towards the beginning of his set, Noel warned the crowd that they would be hearing some tunes that they weren't bothered about.

Addressing the thousands of festival-goers, the singer said: "Yes Glastonbury! I trust everyone's alright? I'm gonna play you a few more tunes that you don't give a f*ck about!"

As the crowd responded, Noel quickly added: "What you laughing at?"

He teased "But if you stick around, after that, f**king hell! There's gonna be a lot of happy people in bucket hats!"

Noel recently performed at Glastonbury (BBC)

As the group struck up the chords to Oasis’ track Whatever, the crowd cheered and danced along as the sun shone down on Worthy Farm in Somerset.

They proceeded to play an array of the band’s classic songs including Wonderwall and Thank You For The Good Times as the audience sang along enthusiastically.
