Seamus Coleman believes Everton’s supporters will play a massive part in the club’s battle to avoid relegation to the Championship.
Although Everton moved out of the bottom three with a 1-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday, they once again find themselves mired in another relegation battle. The Blues stayed up by the skin of their teeth last season.
Everton finished 16th, having secured their Premier League survival on the penultimate day with a dramatic 3-2 win over Crystal Palace at Goodison Park. They came from 2-0 down at the break to claim all three points.

Ahead of their last three home matches last season, thousands of Everton supporters arrived early and took to the streets to produce incredible scenes as the team bus arrived for the game. Banners and flags were on full display, there was constant loud singing and numerous smoke bombs filled the air to create a raucous atmosphere.
Similar scenes had also been witnessed outside Finch Farm ahead of the Blues' two away trips to Leicester and Watford as supporters looked to inspire their side over the line. And Coleman believes Everton’s fans are once again set to play a vital role in helping his side preserve their top-flight status.
He said: “We can only look after ourselves and do what we can. That'll start again in the next game but the fans will play a massive part for sure.”
Before he added: “In the last couple of years, there's no getting away from it. It's not where this football club should be, fighting at the wrong end of the table but we will keep fighting.
“We've got an incredible fanbase behind us to push us over the line. They did that last year and again we've got three points. After Liverpool we weren't down on the floor.
“We knew we lost the game but at this stage of the season it's onto the next one and it's not coming in on Monday like we're safe as you could see by the results.”
