Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy had plenty to smile about on Monday night.
He stopped all 25 shots he faced in Tampa Bay’s 4–0 win over the Stars, earning his first shutout of the season. It was a welcome sight for Lightning fans, who saw their star netminder miss the first 20 games of the season after undergoing back surgery.
But Vasilevskiy’s stellar play in net isn’t the reason why he’s going viral the day after the game. No, that would be because of what happened as he spoke with reporters after the game. As he addressed the assembled media, Vasilevskiy was interrupted by the unmistakable sound of a loud fart.
Andrei Vasilevskiy is a picture of concentration in the crease.

But NO ONE can keep a straight face during a mid-scrum fart 🤣 pic.twitter.com/nDlFJrBerw
What makes it even funnier is that Vasilevskiy was in the middle of giving a serious response to a question about his struggles in the previous games, also against Dallas, where he gave up six goals in an 8–1 loss.
Vasilevskiy was eventually able to regain his train of thought and finish his response to the question. What a pro.
