There’s no doubt about which team is favored to win Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals. The Rams are at home and head into this contest as 7-point favorites, but the oddsmakers aren’t the only ones who expect Los Angeles to win.
According to Tallysight, of the 266 experts who have made a pick in this game, 98% of them are taking the Rams to win outright. The gap is significantly smaller when factoring in the spread, as only 54% expect the Rams to cover the spread against Arizona. There’s a large contingent of experts who think this game will go under the total of 49 points, too; 67% are taking the under.
The Rams haven’t been heavily favored in any games yet this season, so this will be a different type of game for them. They’re used to being the underdogs, but it’s easy to see why they’re expected to win this one.
Kyler Murray is still out, James Conner is sidelined and Budda Baker is on injured reserve. Sure, Arizona still has Marquise Brown and Zach Ertz, and Josh Dobbs is playing pretty well at quarterback, but the talent is still lacking on both sides of the ball.
If the Rams don’t cover the spread, they should at least win the game by a handful of points against this shorthanded, 1-4 Cardinals squad.
