New star blown away by 'unbelievable' Celtic Park atmosphere after first start

Mika Baur was left blown away by the "unbelievable" Celtic Park atmosphere against LASK.

The 22-year-old midfielder made his first home start in Celtic's 3-0 Champions League play-off win against the Austrian champions on Wednesday night.

The summer arrival's assured performance in the centre of the field has put Celtic in a strong position to reach the Champions League league phase.

The match also marked his first experience of a European night at Celtic Park. Baur said: "The crowd was so loud from the beginning on.

"It was even better to feel it in real life, not through what everyone told me. It was unbelievable: the feeling, the atmosphere, the energy."

Despite the three-goal advantage Celtic will take to Austria next week, Baur is aware the job is not complete. He added: "We did a great job, but it’s just the first stop.

"With the same energy and mentality, we can do well."
