A new restaurant and wine bar has opened in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle offering a “modern British menu” and wine list.
Manifest is from the owners of The Little Shoe, the family run brasserie and micro bakery which had branches on Bold Street and in St George’s Hall. The Little Shoe closed its doors last year, and now the team have opened Manifest.
The new restaurant and wine bar’s name, plus the menu, is inspired by the Baltic Triangle’s historic shipping trade. Owner and chef, Paul Duran, has created a “ modern British menu with wine firmly in mind ”. It features “high quality, seasonal goods” from local producers and a wine list from “small scale and sustainable” manufacturers.

Speaking to the ECHO, Paul said: “Manifest is the culmination of years of hard work and planning, all those little things you’d think of working in the industry, such as if I had my own place, I’d do this differently or spend more time on that. This is where I’ve ended up.
“I want Manifest to show my personality and highlight the part of hospitality I enjoy myself. The informal setting, uncomplicated quality food, great drinks and even down to the smaller details like music or wine list design. Our door is always open at Manifest. We’ve created a welcoming space and our menu also reflects what hospitality is about.
“Come in for just a drink or a snack at our dine at bar, or have a leisurely dinner in our dining room. I have a great team of talented staff here and we’re working with some top, local producers. We as a team want to showcase the best of the United Kingdom because I’m as passionate about our own cuisine as some of our European neighbours are of theirs.”
