A new study has found a correlation between slow walking and dementia in animals and now health experts believe humans could be linked too.
The North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine has found a correlation between decreased neurological function and walking - meaning that older dogs who walk slower may be showing signs of dementia.
Testing dogs of different breeds, ages, and sizes, researchers found that senior dogs that walked slower than their peers also scored lower during the cognitive testing portion.
