"New culture of self-employment, entrepreneurship has developed in country": PM Modi on India's rising startup culture

With India having the 3rd largest startup ecosystem with more than 2.3 lakh startups recognised, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hailed the growing culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship in the country, noting the involvement of a large number of youth from tier-1 and tier-2 cities, and women.

Addressing the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi said that India has become the third-largest startup ecosystem globally. He affirmed that the change is visible in the country's tier-1 and tier-2 cities and not just the big cities.
