New cocktail bar Manolo with Caribbean influence opening in Liverpool this week

A new speakeasy bar with a Caribbean-inspired cocktail menu is opening in Liverpool this week.

Manolo is opening on Slater Street and guests can expect mostly table service inside, with a small standing area. Carefully crafted cocktails will include Negroni, Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Mai Tai, Mojito, Daquiri and Gin Martinis, all served in pristine glassware. The team has also created its own version of the much-loved Espresso Martini, Cosmo, French Martini and Long Island, as well as a delicious Bloody Mary and Gin & Tonic.

Wines, champagnes and high end spirits will also be on the menu at the new Ropewalks venue. Those calling in can expect to hear a soundtrack of jazz, salsa and Hispanic music early in the evening, and more upbeat music as the nights progress.

Service will be inspired by the likes of five star hotel bars, New York speakeasies and world-class cocktail bars around the globe. Bartenders with vast experience in luxurious cocktails will welcome and look after guests throughout their visit. A selection of bar snacks will be available including crisps, olives, popcorn and pretzels.

Bookings are encouraged and walk ins also accepted, but subject to availability. Nick Thomas, Director of Manolo, explained: “Manolo is bringing an entirely different offering to Liverpool. Inspired by the Caribbean, the venue offers a variety of exceptional cocktails that hark from the region, as well as reimagined classics with Manolo’s own take on the originals.

“It’s a venue with an intimate atmosphere, where the service focuses on our guests and ensuring everyone has a great time in a relaxed setting. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone from Thursday 1st September.” Bookings can be made here.
