New Chelsea kit 2022/23: Home shirt leaked, unique training top revealed and launch date

A copy of Chelsea's new home shirt for the 2022/23 season appears to have been leaked online and it certainly appears like one that could be divisive.

Whilst this season's kit certainly has a unique vibe, with it's crosshatch of patterns, and warped checks intended to give a feel of the 60s. The official release describe the shirt as 'inspired by the 60s but as fresh as they come'.

Now @semihkececioglu seems to have uploaded the first pictures of Chelsea's 2022/23 home kit to Twitter, with the product reaffirming an earlier leak of the design. As can be seen in the image above, in contrast to the current home offering, the forthcoming home shirt will be predominantly one tone of blue, with a henley colour that is just a bit different.

The neckline will be white and turquoise, with the latter colour displaying a pattern across the collar. Footy Headlines report that the design fits Nike's template for the season with the kit set to be launched in May 2022. The official colours are deemed to be 'Rush Blue/Chlorine Blue/White'. The shorts are said to be the same three colours, with the socks comprised of the latter two, with some 'College Navy' detailing.

The leak is just the latest information to emerge about Chelsea's apparel for next term. The Blues' pre-match shirt has also made its way to the internet. The pattern that covers the shirt appears not too dissimilar to what is hinted at on the home shirt's collar.

The template for the away Chelsea top has also been leaked and shares the colour scheme of it's home alternative. It will see a number of 'Chlorine Blue' hoops, following the same patter of the collar of the home shirt. Details will also be in 'College Navy', on a white base that makes up the bulk of the shirt and shorts.

While all the current designs are shown to display the Three logo, it remains to be seen what happens with Chelsea's sponsorship deal, after the mobile company requested their agreement be suspended in the aftermath of sanctions being placed on Roman Abramovich.

The Blues have continued to wear their current kit with Three's logo in spite of this. football.london understands the reason for that is Chelsea do not have any stock of shirts without the logos and are currently unable to order more after Abramovich was sanctioned.
