Nicki Minaj drew online criticism on 28 September after the White House shared a TikTok clip of her praising Donald Trump. Some commenters speculated, without evidence, that her support could be connected to a possible pardon for her brother, Jelani Maraj.

No public evidence establishes such a link. Neither Minaj nor Trump has publicly connected her political endorsement to a request for clemency.
