Netflix unveils sneak peek at highly anticipated Jane Austen adaptation

  • Netflix has unveiled a first look at its six-part TV adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, scheduled for release this autumn.
  • Emma Corrin leads the cast as Elizabeth Bennett, with Jack Lowden portraying Mr Darcy, supported by Olivia Colman, Rufus Sewell, Louis Partridge and Fiona Shaw.
  • The teaser features Corrin as Elizabeth, glimpses of Darcy, and shots of dancing, aiming to faithfully bring the iconic story to life.
  • The series is intended to join the “yearn-aissance” by appealing to existing fans and introducing a new generation to Austen's classic.
  • Dolly Alderton, known for her bestselling book Everything I Know About Love, has written and executive produced the adaptation.
