Extraction 2 dropped on Netflix last week, with even more action and impressive fighting sequences than the original. Fans who've already watched it have all been hoping for the same thing.
The film, starring Chris Hemsworth, follows contract killer Tyler Rake. He's back from the brink of death following a mission in Bangladesh, and is poised to go again.
This time around, he's rescuing the family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they’re being held. And as the action unfolds, viewers can expect to learn more about Tyler's mysterious past.

Pirates of the Caribbean Five star Golshifteh Farahani returns as private military contractor Nik Khan while Adam Bessa, whose previous roles include Reda in The Blessed and Abbas Naziri in the Amazon Prime Video series Hanna, reprises his character Yaz Khan. Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt and Tinatin Dalakishvili also join the cast.
The film, with screenplay from Joe Russo, also contains a 21-minute prison-break sequence, crafted to look like a single, unbroken shot. Director Sam Hargraves revealed to Empire Online that Chris was actually set on fire 'over and over' to get the desired takes.
Having debuted on Netflix on Friday, June 16, fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on Extraction 2. And many have made the same request - they want more.
@Emaan_random said: "We need extraction 3 now" and @PatriciaBasham8 agreed: "Hope there is a #3." @SquirleHabbo said: "I LOVED THIS MOVIE!!! Part 3??? WHEN!!! (If there is one)" while @Cider33619088 gushed: "OMG Extraction 2 was out of this world. Please make another one!"
And there's good news for fans who just can't get enough. Chris and director Sam confirmed that another Extraction is on the way. The pair spoke at Netflix's Tudum: Global Fan Event in Brazil on Saturday, June 17, announcing that a follow-up is in the works.
It hasn't yet been confirmed when the third instalment is expected to be released. Extraction was released in 2020, and Extraction 2 in 2023 - which means we might not get Extraction 3 until 2026. But if fans are lucky, they may not have to wait that long.
Extraction and Extraction 2 are both available to stream now on Netflix.
