Need for Speed Unbound will be included with PlayStation Plus starting Tuesday, January 6 through Monday, February 2 for Essential, Extra and Premium members.
The game hasn’t received any updates or changes since the end of live service as the final patch for Volume 9 released in December 2024. The development team transitioned over to work on the Battlefield franchise early last year.
The game itself features separate single player and multiplayer campaigns built around high stakes street racing in Lakeshore City. The experience revolves around balancing risk and reward, staying one step ahead of the cops and competing in weekly qualifiers with the goal of reaching The Grand, the city’s ultimate street racing challenge. Along the way, players can build a garage of custom tuned rides, show off their personal style and take in a soundtrack that keeps the energy high across the city.
Need for Speed Unbound won’t be the only game hitting the lineup next week. Non sports titles Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Core Keeper will also be available, adding a nice change of pace with a mix of classic platforming and laid back survival gameplay.
