No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama made his NBA debut on Friday night in Las Vegas Summer League against the Hornets, and delivered an up-and-down performance in his first game with the Spurs.
Wembanyama was solid defensively, blocking five shots, and was active on the glass with his eight rebounds. However, the Spurs star went just 2-for-13 from the floor with nine points, and had three turnovers to go along with his three assists.
Friday marked one of the first times that Wembanyama played with his new San Antonio teammates, so that could have certainly played a factor in his uneven performance, but it was definitely an off night offensively for the rookie.
