National League confirm play-off final venue, eliminator and semi-final dates and kick-off times

The Vanarama National League have today confirmed the final round of league matches of the 2022/23 season will now kick-off at 5.30pm (BST) on Saturday, April 29.

This means that the Magpies' final game of the National League campaign against York City at Meadow Lane, will now be an evening kick-off - meaning Luke Williams' side have played just six times in front of their home fans on a Saturday at 3pm this campaign.

The National League have also today confirmed the full schedule for this season’s play-off matches, which will conclude with the Promotion Final on Saturday, May 13, at Wembley Stadium.

The full National League press release regarding the return of the Promotion Final to Wembley Stadium below reads: "The Vanarama National League are delighted to confirm that the 2023 Vanarama National League Promotion Final will be hosted at Wembley Stadium.

"The showpiece finale is set to take place on Saturday 13 May at 3pm and will be the first time the match has been at Wembley Stadium since 2020 - In 2021 it was at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate and last year West Ham United’s London Stadium hosted.

"With the promotion tension simmering nicely as we move into the final month of the regular season, the Vanarama National League can also announce an Early Bird ticketing offer for all fans."

At 2pm today, clubs were informed for the first time that the league would be going on sale with early bird tickets at 4pm – with special prices being offered until 27 April.

Mindful of Notts' potential participation, the club have urgently sought after more information on these arrangements and received confirmation that early-bird tickets will be for a neutral zone and cannot be transferred to any club’s designated end once participating teams are confirmed.

But in a statement released on Thursday afternoon by the National League, supporters who purchase an Early Bird ticket will now be permitted to request they be moved to their team's section of Wembley Stadium if their team reaches the Promotion Final.

When the two finalists are known, fans will need to contact Wembley Stadium and request they are issued a ticket for the end their supported team are allocated.
