Tributes have been pouring in for Glaswegian singer and Pop Idol star Darius Danesh who has sadly died aged 41.
A statement from the family said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh. Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners' office.
"The local police department have confirmed that there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue.

"We ask that you kindly respect our wishes for privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with the tragic loss of our son and brother."

The Scottish singer found fame on Pop Idol in 2001-2002 when he came runner-up to winner Will Young, was found in his US apartment in Minnesota on August 11 (Monday) although the cause of death remains unknown.
Famous faces such as Simon Cowell and Gareth Gates are among those leading tributes to late star as well as his former wife and Canadian actress, Natasha Henstridge, who he married in 2011 until their divorce in 2018.
Born on August 15, 1974 in Springdale, Newfoundland, Canada, the actress rose to fame in science-fiction thriller Species (1995), opposite Sir Ben Kingsley and Forest Whitaker and later appeared in a number of other starring roles.
Following the news of his death, the 48-year-old posted pictures of them together writing: "I have found the paradox that is you love until it hurts. there can be no more hurt- Only more love -Mother Theresa. There are no words Darius… only Love Love Love. Forever Janam."
