February Nymex natural gas (NGG24) on Tuesday closed +0.054 (+2.15%).

Nat-gas prices on Tuesday climbed to a 3-1/2 week high and settled moderately higher. Forecasts for colder U.S. temperatures sparked short covering in nat-gas futures Tuesday after forecaster Maxar Technologies said below-normal temperatures are seen sweeping into the western and central U.S. by Jan 12.
