Myles Garett makes NFL history in one key record after 100th sack

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett continues on his trek toward becoming a first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer, and he just set an NFL mark with his 100th sack.

Sitting at just 28 years old, Garrett has become the youngest player in NFL history to reach 100 career sacks. Garrett accomplished this yesterday when he racked up his 12th sack of the season against Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Next up? Beating out another Hall of Famer in Reggie White for the most sacks in a career before turning the age of 30. Garrett has another season plus the final two games this year to amass 8.5 more sacks to hit that mark.

It would take some longevity out of Garrett, but he is also now halfway to Bruce Smith’s NFL all-time sack record of 200. Smith, however, played 19 seasons in the NFL. Can Garrett play another 8-to-10 years and hit that mark?

Never take what Garrett is doing in a Browns’ uniform for granted.
