Mumbai Indians release Mayank Markande, Anmolpreet Singh and Aryan Juyal

MUMBAI: The Mumbai Indians have released three of their domestic players-leg-spinner Mayank Markande, batsman Anmolpreet Singh and 'keeper-bat Aryan Juyal, before the IPL retention window closes at 5 pm today, TOI has learnt.

The 25-year-old Markande, who has played one T20I for India, featured in just two games last season, in which he took one wicket at an average of 57.00, at an economy rate of 8.14. Anmolpreet played in two games, in which he scored 13 runs@6.50. Juyal couldn't get a match last season.

The five-time IPL champions who crashed out in the league stage for the second consecutive time earlier this year.

Williamson, Pooran, Mayank, Shah Rukh may be released

Meanwhile, there's a possibility that Sunrisers Hyderabad may release their captain Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran (bought for Rs 10.75 crore by SRH in IPL-2022 auction) and Abdul Samad, who played in just two matches last year, and scored 4 runs. The Punjab Kings, meanwhile, are contemplating on whether to leave out or retain captain and opener Mayank Agarwal and Tamil Nadu big-hitter Shahrukh Khan.
